“I can only describe the care at Westland’s as outstanding. Staff and management have an in depth understanding of dementia and treat the residents with great dignity and respect. Daily activities are geared to the individuals stage of dementia. The home is always bright and happy and calm. I found the staff extremely supportive and caring, particularly in my Mothers final weeks. I am so grateful that my Mother was able to pass in such a warm and caring home. If you have the misfortune to be confronted with the cruel and devastating disease of dementia, Westland’s is the best place to be.”
Mrs G – Alton
‘The way my mother was looked after and cared for by all the staff at Westland’s was the very best. I along with my brother and sister could not have wished for her to have her last months in a more thoughtful or sympathetic environment.”
Mrs S – Barnstaple
“Words cannot say a big enough thank you for all the loving care you showed to our gorgeous Mum over the years.”
Mrs J – Salisbury
“My Mother was a resident for over 5 years and the Manager took great care and spent time helping Mum settle. The home has the feel of a large family home rather than an institution and the staff are wonderful! There are regular care plan reviews and activities and trips to help keep the mind active.”
Mrs J – Malmesbury
“Her physical well being is surely catered for and her psychological difficulties sympathetically and patiently dealt with.”
Mr W – Four Marks
“I don’t know how you do your jobs? And with such kindness, there is surely a place in heaven waiting specially for each and every one of you.”
Mrs J – Alton
“The staff are amazing and I have nothing but admiration for all they do. Alzheimer’s is a cruel disease, made much easier by the care shown at Westland’s.”
Mrs K – Alton
“My Aunt settled down quickly and has always been treated respectfully and kindly. I am always happy to recommend Westland’s.”
Mrs G – Alresford
“I have no hesitation in recommending Westland’s. My Aunt is treated with respect, clean, warm and appears to be completely at ease with her situation. Being 200 miles away from her it is essential for my peace of mind to know she is in good hands and of this I am sure.”
Ms H – Norwich
“She needs care and all staff treat her with respect and dignity. The home is comfortable and if she has to be in care, I can’t think of a better place.”
Mrs E – Basingstoke
“My mother has been in Westland’s for only 3 months. The special diet tailored to her needs has meant that her blood sugar levels have improved so dramatically that she no longer needs insulin injections, but has reverted to oral medication. She is naturally very happy about this.
Mrs A – Alton
My father moved into Westlands in December 2014 and from his first day felt welcomed and at home. all the staff from top down are polite, kind and very caring, taking time to sit and chat with him when they have a minute or two. Activities are good and there is always a game or singalong, or crafts going on to keep everybody mentally active. As my father is bedridden they are constantly popping in to check he is ok (always knocking before entering). My father, my husband and I are relieved to say that he is happy and very grateful for their care. We have been able to relax since he moved house. We know that he is being given the best care and we don’t have to worry that he may wander or fall. We wholeheartedly recommend Westlands House care home to anyone who would like the same peace of mind that we now enjoy.
