Beautifully appointed private rooms
Residents’ rooms at Westlands are regarded as their own private, homely space – complete with their own private en-suite facilities. Every room has been fitted with high quality built-in furniture and residents can have the rooms furnished by Westlands or they can bring their own furniture.
There is a high standard of decoration and quality soft furnishings and residents are encouraged to display their own pictures and personal effects.
The warm and cosy rooms all have individual thermostatic climate control and benefit from double glazing. There is also a television point and call bell providing 24 hour assistance, plus a telephone point for residents’ own direct line and the 15 additional rooms will all have internet access.
Food and dining
Food is such an important part of daily life for residents at Westlands. The large, well equipped kitchen is a constant hive of activity, with two professional cooks creating home cooked, nutritious and delicious meals, snacks and cakes, with special celebration cakes made in-house by our skilled catering team.
We employ our own nutritionist to design weekly changing menus that offer variety, choice and a healthy balanced diet. Diabetics and those with special dietary requirements are catered for.
Residents can start their day with either a light or cooked breakfast. For lunch there is a choice of three main dishes, plus a dessert and there are hot and cold choices for tea time, with a light supper served at 8 pm.
